EDU 961 iPad Infused Classroom
Building off the practical skills developed in iPads in Education, this course focuses on the collaborative application of iPad tools and apps to enhance delivery of instruction and curriculum, including but not limited to screencasting, greenscreens, timeline and mind-mapping, and iTunesU.
This intensive course (for educators who have taken our Level 1 course or who are familiar with the use of iPads in the classroom) is designed for classroom educators to explore, and practice with, the Apple iPad and how the integration of this device into their practice impacts their teaching, student learning, and classroom dynamics. The course focuses on the SAMR Model for building technology focused lessons and the concept of increasingly the effectiveness of learning through app-smashing. Students will also learn the complex nature of how to manage the workflow from student to teacher and back. Within a peer learning model, students will design, implement, and evaluate a classroom activities that will meet their professional learning goals.
NOTE: A prerequisite of "EDU 960: iPads in Education" or prior approval from instructor is required.
