Financial Literacy EDU 976 Financial Literacy with Technology

Eduspire’s courses are offered by Wilson College as individual 3-credit graduate-level courses, and most courses can also be taken as part of the Master of Educational Technology (MET) degree program.

Financial literacy will help prepare educators for ACT 35 legislation which requires students to have financial literacy in high school. Educators will gain foundational knowledge in the PDE Model Framework for Financial Literacy to confidently teach the course. Students will explore various technology resources that can be implemented in their instructional delivery of the content, while becoming subject matter experts. 

 The course equips educators with essential financial concepts and teaching strategies. The course covers the PA Model Framework for Financial Literacy, including Money Management, Banking, Investing & Retirement, Taxes, Credit, Paying for College, Insurance, and Careers. Emphasizes practical application of technology resources while preparing teachers to empower students to become financially independent. 

Please note that this course is focused on secondary education.
