Authentic Connections for Project-Based Learning

Eduspire’s courses are offered by Wilson College as individual 3-credit graduate-level courses, and most courses can also be taken as part of the Master of Educational Technology (MET) degree program.

Develop real-world connections to your content through project-based learning. The course reaches beyond the typical checklist approach to PBL and prepares teachers to implement relevant challenges that take students to deeper levels of learning.

As we approach the end of the second decade of the twenty-first century, we need to continue to develop twenty-first century skills in our students. The use of technology to enhance critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity is only as useful as the reasons for which students are asked to use the technology tools. The deepest levels of learning occur in a student when the curriculum is connected to authentic, relevant, and appropriately complex learning experiences. This course will empower its participants with the tools necessary to design and develop authentic learning experiences as they enrich their students’ classroom experiences through a connected global environment.

*Participants in this course will have a mandatory, synchronous, video conference sessions. The date and time are listed on each course registration page.
