Dayna Laur is a veteran social studies teacher with teaching credentials that include Advanced Placement U.S. Government, U.S. History, Global Studies, and Law. She also has extensive co-teaching experience in a special education inclusion classroom. Dayna holds a B.A. in History from Virginia Tech, an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Pittsburgh, an M.S. in 21st Century Teaching and Learning from Wilkes University, and an Ed.D. in Instructional Systems Design and Technology from Sam Houston State University. She is a two-time National Board Certified teacher.
Dayna is a co-founder of Project ARC, a global consulting company that partners with school organizations to develop authentic project-learning experiences (APLEs) for students. In addition to coaching teachers, administrators, and technology leaders, she also partners with businesses to build connections between schools and the community to create authentic learning opportunities that connect deeply with the curriculum.
Dayna is the author of multiple books, including Authentic Learning Experiences: A Real-World Approach to Project-Based Learning, Developing Natural Curiosity through PBL: Five Strategies for the PreK-3 Classroom, and Authentic Project-Based Learning in Grades 4-8 (and 9-12): Standards-Based Strategies and Scaffolds for Success.
