Writing EDU 941 Engaging Writers in All Content Areas

Eduspire’s courses are offered by Wilson College as individual 3-credit graduate-level courses, and most courses can also be taken as part of the Master of Educational Technology (MET) degree program.

Explores strategies for teaching writing across all content areas for grades 4-12, emphasizing key writing skills in the writing process model and technology tools that can be used to develop, practice, and sustain those skills.

This course is for any teacher of grades 4-12.  Instructional focus will be on modeling researched teaching of writing techniques, writing and the Common Core, and assessing student writing. Participants will discover appropriate technology tools for various stages in the writing process, practice their own writing skills using the standard writing process model, and develop an action plan for improving student writing.

This course was previously titled "Writing Pedagogy".

*Participants in this course will have mandatory, synchronous, video conference sessions. The dates and times are listed on each course registration page.
