Early Childhood EDU 957 Tech Integration in Early Childhood

Eduspire’s courses are offered by Wilson College as individual 3-credit graduate-level courses, and most courses can also be taken as part of the Master of Educational Technology (MET) degree program.

Participants in this hands-on course will learn about developmentally appropriate ways to integrate tech with children in PreK-2 classrooms. Exploration of interactive multimedia, age-appropriate apps, tools for communicating with families, and tech integration in creative ways for young learners are key course components.

Young children are growing up in an ever-changing digital world with multimedia and technology at the forefront of mainstream culture. Children’s experiences and interactions with technology are part of their daily lives, both at home and at school. This course aims to examine NAEYC’s developmentally appropriate practices for integrating technology into early childhood classrooms, while providing teachers with guidance in choosing appropriate tech tools to engage young learners and communicate with families.

*Participants in this course will have several mandatory, synchronous, video conference sessions. The dates and times are listed on each course registration page.
