EDU 932 Digital Multisensory Writing
This course will appraise the impact of ePublishing on learning communication and information transfer. Identify and examine the capabilities of ebook formats, understand the visualization of data and gain an understanding of copyright and publishing issues.
The course provides instruction in improving student writing in online and multimedia environments and thoughtfully incorporates digital writing into teaching. Digital writing challenges what counts as writing and reveals the gap between how writing works in the world and how we teach it in schools. Teachers will be introduced to digital technologies that enable students to write in more modes, such as image, sound and video and diverse genres. In addition, the course will encourage collaborative communication and feedback between students and their teachers during the writing process.
This course was previously titled "ePublishing."
