Chromebooks in Education
Explores the benefits and limitations of the Chromebook and facilitates the development of classroom management techniques designed for the 1:1 classroom. Investigates topics applicable to a Chromebook-based classroom environment, including project-based learning, cloud computing, the flipped classroom, Web 2.0 solutions, Google Apps for Education, content management systems and screencasts.

This course will guide participants in identifying major issues inherent in the transition from traditional instruction to 21st century teaching & learning. Likewise, participants will begin implementing 21st century tools in the classroom.
In this edition of the course, the Chromebook Edition, special attention is given to how to teach in an environment where students have regular access to the Chromebook.
This course contains synchronous and asynchronous online work. Please see the registration page of the session that is of interest to you to find the schedule of synchronous times.
A Chromebook is included in the cost of the course (with no additional fees).
*Participants in the online version of the course will have several mandatory, synchronous, video conference sessions. The dates and times are listed on each course registration page. In some instances the instructor has listed multiple offerings that course takers may choose from.
