AI Ethics EDU 978 AI Ethics, Policy & Data for Educators

Eduspire’s courses are offered by Wilson College as individual 3-credit graduate-level courses, and most courses can also be taken as part of the Master of Educational Technology (MET) degree program.

Schools need more than tool tutorials. This course builds practical judgment: reading AI-generated information, weighing risks/benefits, applying policy in daily decisions, and keeping people—not software—accountable. You’ll practice plain-language communication with students, families, and colleagues; turn AI data into instructional choices; and design safe, equitable routines for human-AI collaboration. We also address bigger-picture impacts (workforce shifts, creativity, cognition/attention, well-being) so you can lead informed conversations and decisions.

Prepares educators to navigate the ethical, policy, and practical challenges of generative AI in schools. Participants evaluate long-term impacts, interpret AI-generated data, review policies for fairness and privacy, design professional learning, and build cross-curricular AI literacy for workforce readiness through human/AI collaboration.
