Brenda Boyer

Brenda has a PhD in Instructional Design for Online Learning. She was a public school educator for over 30 years and was the Chair of the Information and Technology Resources Department for the Kutztown School District. Brenda has also instructed graduate LIS students at Kutztown University and Rutgers University. Her most recent journal articles appear in The Journal of Academic Librarianship, School Library Connection, and Knowledge Quest. She is a co-author the ALA Library Technology Report: Social Media Curation, and has contributed a chapter, "College Ready: Improving Student Research Skills Through Professional Collaboration" in Collaborative Models for Librarian and Teacher Partnerships (IGI Global, 2013), as well as the chapter, "K-12 Online and Blended Learning, School Libraries, and School Librarians" in Handbook of Research on K-12 Online and Blended Learning (ETC). Her research interests include online learning and inquiry/research instructional models. Brenda enjoys working one-on-one with teachers and helping them to develop engaging online experiences for their learners. When she is not teaching, researching, or reading, Brenda can be found on various bike or ski trails.
