In addition to being a published author, teacher librarian and Chair of the Information and Technology Resources Department at Kutztown Senior High School, Dr. Boyer also teaches courses for Eduspire, such as Virtualizing Your Library — a quick-start guide for K-12 librarians who want to maintain a vibrant online library in schools making digital shifts. Brenda has recently completed her PhD in Instructional Design for Online Learning through Capella University. She has been an educator for over 25 years; having instructed graduate students at both Kutztown University and Rutgers University. Her most recent journal article appears in the Nov/Dec. 2015 issue of Knowledge Quest. She is a co-author and contributor to other educational and research material, and her research interests include online learning, embedded librarianship, and inquiry/research instructional models. When she is not teaching, researching, or reading, Brenda can be found on various bike or ski trails.
