This course will appraise the impact of ePublishing on learning communication and information transfer. Identify and examine the capabilities of ebook formats, understand the visualization of data and gain an understanding of copyright and publishing issues.
The course provides instruction in eBook resources and authoring tools, and determining which tools to use depending on the targeted audience and degree of multimedia content. Students will initially learn the advantages of interactive ebooks and the standard formats. They will then concentrate on finding and sharing ebooks in various genre, i.e., fiction, nonfiction and textbooks. The last component of the course will involve incorporating free tools to create interactive reading books, infographics, textbooks, magazines, posters and comics.
