EDU 924 Digital Portfolios
Explores the theory, implementation and use of digital portfolios in the classroom environment as ways to create, maintain, and share knowledge. Provides instructions on digital portfolio technology and tools as well as pedagogical applications for digital portfolios in the classroom.
This course examines the purpose and tools available for digital portfolios, as well as best practices in their use for both professional and student portfolios. The process is directly experienced through the creation of a professional digital portfolio matched to each participant’s personal learning goals (some may choose to match the Charlotte Danielson Framework, supported by PA's Educator Effectiveness model), and then through development of an action plan for utilizing digital portfolios with students.
*Participants in this course will have several mandatory, synchronous, video conference sessions. The dates and times are listed on each course registration page.
