Alison has been a secondary English teacher for the nine years and serves as her school district's technology and instructional coach. As an educator she recognizes the significance of authentic student learning and school success. Alison understands the necessity of challenging students in both in-person and online learning environments. She believes in the importance of incorporating the following into her teaching practices; twenty-first century literacy, critical thinking, and collaboration. An important part of her educational philosophy is importance of learning, sharing, and utilizing information about innovative teaching practices with colleagues and students. She incorporates a passion for knowledge and scholarship into each learning activity. Outside of the classroom Alison enjoys golfing, camping, boating, and spending time with her husband and two children.
