
Allison Mackley
Librarian
Allison Mackley is the Director for Curriculum Development at Elizabethtown College in the School for Continuing and Professional Studies. She has fourteen years experience teaching middle school English and fourteen years experience as a NBCT librarian, K-12 Library Department Coordinator, and Instructional Technology Coach at Hershey High School in Derry Township School District.
She developed and taught an online elective course called" Passion Driven Research." Her class affords students the opportunity to build upon their own interests as they explore the research process.
She graduated from Penn State University with an undergraduate degree in Secondary English Education and has several degrees and certificates, including an M.Ed. Administration from the University of Scranton, an MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh, an M.A. in Writing from Northeastern University, a Virtual Online Teaching (VOLT) Certificate from the University of Pennsylvania and a PDE Online Instruction Program PK-12 Teaching Endorsement.
Allison, who lives in Hummelstown, PA with her husband, Dale, and their two cats, tries to keep balance between work and play. In all she does, she keeps community, compassion and curiosity at heart.
