Jim has a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology from Bloomsburg University. His career spans over 35 years in public education. For 5 years Jim served as first a coach and then a mentor with the PA Department of Education (PDE) “Classrooms for the Future” program. Jim is currently teaching a very popular 3 credit graduate course called “iPads in Education” for Eduspire at various locations throughout PA. Jim was pleased to be a sponsor for the TedX Youth Camp Hill in November 2012. He was also invited to present at TedX Williamport in October 2011. See his TEDX Talk presentation entitled “Why School is More Important than Ever” which is also on YouTube. In 2008, he started a consulting business called GatesIdeas (GatesIdeas.com).
