Tech in Secondary Math

EDU 952

Eduspire’s courses are offered by Wilson College as graduate-level courses, and most courses can also be taken as part of the Master of Educational Technology (MET) degree program.

This course will analyze the benefits of available technology for secondary math instruction and assessment. Formative and summative assessment tools will be compared. Online remediation and practice in the mathematics classroom will be investigated and critiqued.

[Formerly titled Using Technology Effectively in the Secondary Mathematics Classroom]

This course will offer teachers the opportunity to investigate online mathematics resources such as math tutors, math games, graphing calculators, equation solvers, assessment tools, and social media. Teachers will analyze the benefits of the available technology and look for ways to utilize what is available to improve their own lesson planning to increase learning and motivation in their classroom.

*Participants in this course will have several mandatory, synchronous, video conference sessions. The dates and times are listed on each course registration page.
