The Flipped Classroom I

EDU 903

Eduspire’s courses are offered by Wilson College as graduate-level courses, and most courses can also be taken as part of the Master of Educational Technology (MET) degree program.

Explores the pedagogical structure and philosophy of the flipped classroom. Investigates the tools, content management and classroom management skills necessary to teach in a flipped environment.

[Formerly titled Introduction to the Flipped Classroom.]

Have you been hearing a lot of talk about the flipped classroom lately? Are you wondering what it is or how it could benefit you and your students? This course will start you on a journey toward flipping your classroom. The philosophies, pedagogies, and technologies behind the flipped classroom will be analyzed and discussed. This is not a point-and-click, tools-based course, but rather a chance to begin the discussion that needs to take place prior to flipping the classroom.

This course will engage participants in activities that will ensure their understanding of teaching and learning in a flipped classroom environment. Participants will become competent in the use of all technologies needed to support a flipped classroom.
